Are you in the answer?
Ranking asks Google and six AI assistants the questions your buyers ask. It keeps every answer and shows you where you’re named, where you’re cited, and where a competitor is recommended instead.

We ran it on our own brand first.
ChatDaddy is a WhatsApp CRM we also build. In October 2026 we asked 10 buyer questions on six AI engines and checked 11 Google keywords. This is what came back.
AI answers named ChatDaddy. That’s 15%, and with this many answers the true rate could be anywhere from 8% to 26%.
when the question didn’t already contain our name. Questions like “ChatDaddy vs Wati” inflate the headline number, so we show this one too.
Wati, a competitor, was named about five times as often as we were across the same answers.
- Google AI Overviews citing us
- 1 of 11 keywords
- Site health
- 81 / 100
- AI readiness
- 89 / 100
- Top fix found
- Blog pages have no H1

Every AI answer, kept as evidence.
Add the questions your buyers ask, or let us suggest them from your competitors and keywords. We run them on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode with web search on.
- Who was named, in what order, and whether your site was linked
- Share of voice against the competitors you choose
- The full answer text, with your brand highlighted

Find the pages that recommend your rivals.
Most AI citations point at third-party comparison pages and reviews, not at brand sites. Ranking lists the pages AI engines cite when they name a competitor but never mention you. That’s your outreach list.
Google rankings, with the AI Overview on top.
Daily positions in the top 100 for every keyword, the page that ranks, SERP features, and competitors’ positions on the same day. When Google shows an AI Overview, we record whether it cites you and which sources it used instead.
How rank tracking works

An audit that reads your site the way AI crawlers do.
We crawl up to 200 pages without running JavaScript, because most AI crawlers don’t either. 53 checks cover the usual technical SEO, plus the things that decide whether an assistant can quote you.
- Which AI crawlers your robots.txt lets in: GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended
- Answers hidden behind JavaScript
- Question headings with a direct answer underneath
Site audits are free.
How the site audit worksResearch tools for when you need the numbers.
Keyword researchVolume, difficulty, CPC and intent. Send question keywords to AI visibility as prompts.
Competitor analysisEstimated traffic, top keywords and pages, and the keywords competitors win that you don’t.
BacklinksReferring domains, anchors, new and lost links, and sites that link to competitors but not to you.
How we count, so you can trust the number.
- Real engines
- Prompts run on the engines people use, with web search on. Not a bare model API pretending to be ChatGPT.
- Every answer kept
- Full text, brands named in order, cited URLs. Any figure can be traced back to the answers behind it.
- Honest margins
- Every rate comes with a 95% Wilson interval. When the sample is small, the interval says so.
- Only what works
- We don’t score llms.txt; AI crawlers rarely read it. Crawler access and content visible without JavaScript are what we check.

Questions
What is GEO / AEO?
Generative Engine Optimization and Answer Engine Optimization: making sure AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google’s AI Overviews name your brand and cite your pages when people ask about your category. Ranking measures it directly by asking the engines your prompts and keeping the answers.
Which AI engines do you track?
Six: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode. You choose which engines run for each check and pay only for those.
How do you measure AI visibility?
For each prompt and engine we store the full answer, the brands it names in order, and the sources it cites. Visibility is the share of answers that name you, shown with a 95% Wilson confidence interval, so a handful of prompts can’t pass as a precise number.
How does pricing work?
Prepaid credit. New accounts get $0.50 to try it. Top up any amount from $1. Each check is charged at our data provider’s cost plus 20%. There is no subscription, and credit doesn’t expire. Site audits are free.
Do I need an llms.txt file?
We don’t score it. In our own tests AI crawlers almost never fetched llms.txt. Crawler access in robots.txt and answers that are visible without JavaScript matter far more, and the site audit checks both.
Where does the ranking data come from?
Live Google results for your chosen country, with SERP features and AI Overview sources recorded per keyword. Search volume, difficulty, competitor and backlink data come from an established third-party SEO data provider.
Who makes Ranking?
BobWork (BobOffice, LLC), the team behind bobwork.ai. Ranking is new and in early access, so we don’t show customer logos or usage numbers we don’t have yet.
